Why blog?  Why blog about high school football?  Why blog about Towers?  Well the answer to the last question is simple.  I am a Titan and will always be a Titan.  Kinda cheesy? Well to me it means something.  I loved my school days and wouldn’t trade them for anything.  After graduation, I kept up with my classmates and even had classes with some, then came the day I joined the Army and 8 weeks later was on journey that would take me away from my friends and school.  I lost touch with most of my friends and certainly lost touch with what was going on with Towers football.  Well after 7 years away,  I came back to Georgia and had a very hard time finding any of the old friends and settled in Hiram which to a kid from Stone Mountain might as well be Seoul ( my first duty station by the way).  I tried to keep up with the Titans too but it was the beginnings of the internet age and the news papers were covering less and less high school football.  Which bring me to the answer of my second question.  I want to blog about high school football because it needs to be done.  There must be hundreds of people who would love to keep up with there alma mater’s team but the lack of news budgets for that kind of thing are making it harder and harder for papers to cover every school in depth.  So I will attempt to keep up with the Titans and Dekalb football on these pages.  I’m not a journalist or even a closet essayist, just a Titan would want to be closer to the organization that gave him so much and now he can give back in his own small way.

Go ye Titans give us a win. Onward you must never give in.  We know that you’ll do your best and we’ll do the rest. FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!
